Week Thirteen

It came down to the wire, but everything's in its proper place now.  We have a great presentation, an amazing demo, and a strong team unity.

From a programming standpoint, this week was really stressful.  The old builds were never going to be able to give us the nice UI we wanted, so I had to port everything over to the new system.  It was a good test of how well I had structured the new system, and I'd say it proved its worth.  New art, sound, and text was all very easy to implement with my data-driven resource system, and my scene management system allowed us to have really nice fading transitions.  I got very stressed out towards the end reimplementing some of the old features, but it all came together into a wonderful package that plays well.

All that remains is for us to present the game tonight and to demo the game tomorrow.  While we're not assuming we're going forward, we're confident in our game's - and our team's - strengths.

See you all on the other side of the curtain.
